Fund Raiser at ASDA

Saturday setting up at ASDA on Canford Heath
Elfin gets some attention early on
Now it's William's turn for attention

On Saturday 9th August we brought William and Elfin to meet shoppers in the car park just outside Asda in the hope of encouraging folk to part with some of their money. Thanks to the co-operation of Jo W of the EHDC and Val, charities person for Asda, we had quite a successful morning raising just under £100 for our coffers. Our thanks to Asda stores for their co-operation in allowing to bring our horses.

Our two equine friends behaved their best for about an hour and a half. When William started getting bored, he started pawing the floor with his front feet. It was a clear sign that he'd had enough, so it was decided to call it a day as the volume of shoppers was dwindling anyway.
It is hoped that more local people will be aware of our existence at Holton Lee what we do for adults with disabilities in Dorset. There is always the hope and possibility that we may attract more volunteers to join our happy band.
