Two Mobility Scooters

At last we have acquired two more mobility scooters for escort duties, thanks to the generosity of the Valentine Trust, to add to the Tramper that we took delivery of in March 2008. That was also generously donated by the Valentine Trust, a charitable trust based in Poole.

Some of our volunteer helpers find that escorting the drives on a bicycle is a bit too much so these electric buggies are an absolute godsend! They are also very cheap to both run and maintain, and quiet too.

Message from Wally

After my computer had been hacked it has been away and been cleansed of several Trojan Horse viruses. The information was stored and checked, the computer reset at the manufacturers initial settings and cleansed information reloaded. The computer is now protected by AVG security.

If anyone has been affected by anything to apparently being sent by me I am sorry. Anyone who knows me should realise I am open and honest, never will I send a ‘Private Message‘ needing your password,

Wally

Margaret Newell Memorial Day 2012

The beautiful crimson rose that John planted in his wife, Margaret's memory, is the centre-piece of this glorious floral display that Jo Winfield planted up this year. The rose is in full bloom and is a fitting tribute to Margaret, who manages to bring out the sunshine without fail every year on this first Sunday in August. I'm sure she smiles down with approval on our efforts to to bring joy to all who frequent the Ash Tree stables each year.

It was a pleasure to see so many of our disabled drivers, their carers and our team of volunteers enjoying a relaxing fun day at the stables.
