EHDC Group Meeting Mon 21st January 2013

Group Meeting held in Dylans Restaurant

At our pre-season meeting of the new year we met to discuss several items of importance:
1. In the light of Wally's and Denise's reluctant but necessary resignations from Group & Deputy Group Organiser it was decided that I, Jonnie Colvile, have agreed to assume the responsibilities of this position and to continue as Chairman until the AGM when the situation can be reassessed. Both Wally and Denise wish to remain as trustees and will give as much of their time as they are able.
2. To elect two new trustees in Jane Buck and Gill Symes. Gill took the photo, just to explain her absence from the line-up above!
3. To elect Jane as our Secretary.
4. To agree that Wally continues to act as our Treasurer until a formal letter of resignation is received from Liz Taylor and that this post will be reviewed at the AGM.
5. Most important to arrange training days that will be on Mondays and Thursdays starting on 11th February.

Winter Snow

 A Christmasy scene in January.

The horses were very glad of a bite to eat first thing on Friday 18th January when the first snow arrived.
We have got away very lightly down here in Dorset on the edge of Poole harbour when you look at the extremes of snow further inland.
The horses are in fine fettle. On February 4th they will have their shoes on in the hope that we can start a bit of light exercise as the weather permits. They will also get a full veterinary health check along with their vaccination boosters next week.
